Test drove Catie with new wheels, tyres and new mirrors. The Rain Expert 3s gained grip after some kilometres rubbing off the production release-agents and start to build confidence. Mirrors are fine, it’s great to see something in the side mirrors 🙂
I also reset the ECU learn-values via OBD and re-learned the idle by running the engine 5 minutes in load-less idle and 5 additional minutes in idle with all electrical loads turned on to put maximum load on the alternator – all with a well warmed up engine. I hope this cures the hunting idle. So far the engine behaves ok in idle after that procedure, keep fingers crossed.
